The Amherst Town Band is pleased to award a scholarship to Souhegan High School graduating senior Evan Rogers.

Evan is an accomplished bassist, playing at Souhegah High School in the concert and jaz bands, and orchestra for the school musicals. He has also played with many jazz combo groups, NH Youth Jazz Ensemble, pit bands for Manchester Community players, the Eric Nadeu Funk Band and many other groups.

Evan was recognized by Berklee College last year wining their Berklee Jazz Fest Judges Choice award. He also received the Louis Armstrong Jazz award from Souhegan.

Evan will attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst to study jazz and music education
